Earth Day
Friday, April 13, 2012
8 a.m., Gardner Park and other sites around town
Volunteer work day
Meet at Gardner Park. Supplies will be passed out and volunteers will visit 6 to 8 sites around town. Event to include: painting chain link fence, picking up debris, picking up sticks and cutting limbs, pulling weeds and bed preparation for planting, honeysuckle removal, and mulching of newly planted trees.

Nominations for Residential Beautification Awards and Business Beautification Awards begin June 1. Businesses must be nominated by July 15. Residential nominations must be in by August 10.
