Photo taken in August 21st, just 1 month after plant installaion.

Still a "Work In Progress"
With the installation of an ornamental tree and additional fall plantings
this site will truly say "Welcome to Middletown" in the near future.

Thanks to the Middletown Community Foundation For Grant Funding

Work Began on May 19, 2008 - What a Beautiful Day

The installation of plant material was delayed because of
heavy spring rains. and electric line problems.

Jeff Michel, Steve O'Neil and Denise Hall (photographing) removed the old plant material in preperation for the landscape "make-over"

Although this project is still a work in progress, with the fall installation of an ornamental speciemen tree and some growth from the background shrubs this sign should look great for the spring 2009 season.

Drawing of Sign

Board President, Jeff Michel has drawn up plans for the make-over at the Welcome to Middletown Sign.

There is currently no irrigation at this site which considerably limits the plant selection.
This landscaping project will require a tap into the water lines near Bob Evans with an additional cost for
irrigation lines. With donations and sponsors we hope to make this site one you won't forget.

"As our city leaders try to bring in new business and revitiazation to our community it is critical
that we make a postive statement as prospective customers and visitors travel into Middletown from I-75
"

In order to faciltate this project we hope we can count on you to donate to the cause.

Sincerely,

Denise Hall
Executive Director
