Each year, KMB awards local businesses, organizations, and residences the designation of Annual Beautification Award Winner, based on impression, maintenance, attractiveness and suitability. Consider nominating a company, organization or residence that is keeping Middletown beautiful for all of us.
Nominations
Nominations for Residential Beautification Awards and Business Beautification Awards begins Friday, June 1, 2012. Businesses must be nominated by July 15, 2012. Residential nominations must be in by August 10, 2012. Awards will be given at a banquet on Thursday, September 20, 2012 (12 to 1:30 p.m., Miriam G. Knolls Room/MUM).
First Impression: Judges will evaluate the overall "First Impression" of the street or sidewalk view as customers and members of the community view your facility upon arrival.
Maintenance: Edging, trimming, weeding and appearance of the property.
Attractiveness: Landscaped areas will be judged on the use of space, color, texture and creativity.
Suitability: Each nominee will be judged on an individual basis; according to the facility size and area you have to work with.
